The success story of the MONDI Group starts in 1983 with the METRO Holiday Club and the idea of a timeshare scheme and worldwide holiday exchange. The initiator was the international METRO trading group. In 1998, its activities were taken over by MONDI.
As of today, the company consists of 6 touristic sectors. The MONDI-HOLIDAY HOTELS and CHALETS, all of them wonderfully situated in the German, Austrian and Italian Alps, stand for the unique combination of diversity of offer and first class hotel comfort with a feel-good factor of individual holiday homes. About 200 employees at eight locations attend to the well-being of their guests. Additional focal points of the MONDI-HOLIDAY Group include hotel management & administration, gastronomy, leasing and support of “MONDI holiday clubs” with about 15,000 member families. From 2006, MONDI operates its own timeshare exchange organisation called EASY EXCHANGE. The family business is managed by Leonhard Dörr, his daughter Sandra Krause and his son Dr Mike Dörr.
